Utria Hostel

Mi estancia en Hostal Utria fue inolvidable, decidí emprender este viaje sola para la época de mi cumpleaños. Me fui a este hermoso paraíso del pacifico colombiano, sin tener claro donde me iba a quedar ni cuantos días iba estar, simplemente seguí mi intuición y por cosas del destino llegué a Utria...Llegué de noche y lo primero que vi fue una entrada iluminada que lleva a un acogedor y cálido bar, la música estaba en el punto exacto donde permite disfrutar a los que están en el bar y también descansar a los que están en sus habitaciones.Desde que llegué me atendieron con amabilidad, Camila me mostro las habitaciones disponibles y me di cuenta que todas tienen una vista hermosa. El personal es muy querido y se preocupa por ofrecer los mejores planes que permiten explorar la región. Puedo decir que a Utria llega gente de diferentes partes del mundo con muy buena vibra y adicionalmente los amigos locales del hostal son personas muy alegres y respetuosos.La celebración de mi cumpleaños empezó el día anterior en el bar del hostal, hasta las 11:00pm ( esta es la hora del cierre del bar) y luego Koko coordino todo para que todos pudiéramos seguir divirtiéndonos en una discoteca que queda muy cerca. Disfrutamos, bailamos, compartimos, cantamos y bebimos de una manera muy espontánea y divertida. Koko le puso un toque único a la noche con su baile que le fluye a cantaros, como el agua en el pacífico. ¡Woww que nivel y que espectáculo! Fue un excelente cumpleaños que solo fue posible, gracias a la calidez de la gente con la que compartí en el hostal Utria.Luego de esta rumba; me enferme ( jajaja, si así fue) y pues también fue bonito sentir que estas personas que acababa de conocer se preocuparon por mí. Koko me hizo remedios caseros y Camila también se preocupó mucho por mí y mi recuperación. Me sentí como en casa.La ubicación del lugar es perfecta... queda a pocos metros de la playa, la calidez de las personas es incalculable, te ayudan a cuadrar los mejores planes turísticos y todas las habitaciones tienen una hermosa vista.Definitivamente es un lugar para vivir el aquí y ahora, es una oportunidad para reconectarse con la naturaleza y reconocer que la felicidad se encuentra en cada instante de un atardecer, que la caricia de la cálida lluvia puede limpiar cada rincón del corazón y que todos los colores del bello pacifico colombiano están ahi para hincharte el corazón.Volveré muy pronto a Utria, por que me gusta la calidad humana de su equipo de trabajo, por que hacen las cosas con amor y convicción, por que me gusto el diseño del hotel y el interior de sus habitaciones, me gusta que desde la habitación puedo divisar la inmensidad del mar y la abundante selva... Ahhh y muy importante, volveré a complacer mi paladar con esos deliciosos cocteles que hace Koko a base de mi amado Viche...... Se me hace agua la boca de solo recordarlos...

Utria hostel was clearly built with love & care. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are well designed, and the location, food, and hostel-coordinated excursions are all incredible. Moreover, the staff & other guests make you feel like family. An unforgettable experience I couldn’t recommend more!

If you are looking for a sign to book your accommodation here, THIS IS IT.Bahía Solano is one of the most beautiful and magical places I’ve been in my life and staying at Utria was, by far, the best decision I could’ve made there.Koko is such a kind human being. He makes sure that you are having a wonderful stay and books tours according to your availability.The cooking by Camila is next level and you shouldn’t worry about going to another place to eat because here you will have great options everyday. I was also lucky to meet Cristina and Ines who were wonderful volunteers and friends.The bar has outstanding drinks with friendly Araque explaining you the history behind Viche.The accommodation is extremely clean with a wonderful weather that allows you to have a pleasant sleep at night.Recommendations: Bring comfy shoes, rain garments and leave any type of useless things that disconnect you from a pleasant holiday. You are going to be between the jungle and the Pacific Ocean so being comfortable is key.I can’t wait to come back! Thank you so much Team Utria!

Absolutely amazing. The rooms are very clean. The owner is very nice and she cares a lot for every one hereIt's close to the beach and you can order food here.

This place was incredible, it felt like living in a giant treehouse with friends. The location is perfect, the area is incredibly gorgeous and the owner was there making sure everyone felt like home!There was optional daily meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner)

At first I wasn’t sold on Choco because it was raining the first 2 days we were there. But that made us fall in love with the staff, the environment, and Koko’s famous cocktails in the bar downstairs! KoKo, John, Khata and the crew are an awesome group of people that run Utria. They helped organize all the excursions, you could read in the hammocks while looking at the beach, or just spend time hanging out by the pool. Phenomenal place to rewind while also having tons to do.11/10 recommend Utria, the environment and the crew. Excited to get back!

Such an amazing hostel! Koko and the team are so friendly, helpful, and fun to be around. Those nights dancing, playing, and swimming with the bioluminescent plankton were some of the best nights of my life. The hostel is so cozy and you really feel like you’re in a treehouse… and the FOOD! Every meal was so delicious and tasty, and you can really taste the love they put into it. I can’t wait to be back!

Magical place right on the beach. The rooms are great with a view of the jungle! The best part of this hostel however are the people, Koko and the rest of the staff make your stay unforgettable!
